FLORICULTURE

It is evidenced that there is a fast growth of floriculture in and around region. Grameen Utsarga Foundation plan to provide both technical and financial resources to the farmers for doing the same. Training will be in nursery raising and floriculture programme in association with other rural banks including NABARD. The trained people will be linked with banks and other establishing nurseries as group activities and supplying seedlings to the gardens developed by industries as well as educational institution. There is a lot of scope in promoting this trade and is commercially viable.

Farmers will be mobilized for cultivation and sale of ornamental and flowering plants for gardens. They will be trained on marketing in containers, Houseplants, pot plants, cut flowers, floral gardens, and other floriculture crops.
